The position of Art Instructor comes with a compensation of $40 per class taught at schools, & $20/hr for participating in production activities at KE Art Studio.

Position Summary

The role of Art Instructor successfully teaches art classes to preschool aged children at various schools on behalf of KE Art.

Supported by a team and trainer, the person in this position will receive weekly training on the content being taught.

The Art Instructor will be responsible for preparing the materials provided to them for the week’s class art project.

Position Objectives

  • Deliver weekly art classes to groups of children after school on site.

  • Provide instruction on proper use of art material to children, and teach on art subject.

  • Prepare all art materials in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for classroom set-up and clean-up.

  • Keep an enthusiastic and upbeat pace for the hour spent with students and guide them into a creative state.

  • Be able to teach different age groups ranging from 2 years old to 10 years old.

  • Ensure the safety of each child under their care.

  • Participate in weekly KE Art staff meetings and trainings. 

  • Provide feedback to leadership on classes and projects.

  • Manage the communication and interactions in a respectful and professional manner with all clients, parents and students involved.

Experience

Experience with children is a must, experience with art is a plus.

Commute & Physical Requirements

This is a very important part of the job. Reliable transportation is required. You’ll have the opportunity to drive to many schools to deliver KE Art classes.

Aside from driving to various schools, your home base will be KE Art Studio. From there you will train and prepare to deliver our art classes weekly.

The Art Instructor position requires bending down because of working with small children. Also, arriving at more than one school in a day and setting up for art classes.
